In 2007, Šilutė TVIC guides organized courses in Šilutė area. The courses were held in cooperation with Klaipėda Cultural and Tourist Information Center, and partially funded by Šilutė District government small and medium business promotion fund. The courses took 8 months, during that time there were 16 professional guides and 5 routes prepared, that covered all Šilutė district in detail, which has now been used for the professional tours.
